During the last week of July ’09 the 1924 Sqn and T.S Terra Nova began a joint camp onboard HMS Bristol in Portsmouth. At first many of us were apprehensive of the Sea Cadets, myself especially! But after meeting them and deciding that they weren’t so bad after all we soon began to make friends. The week included a few funny incidences like when LC Brown from the SCC broke his oar while rowing and the response that he got from all the other Cadets and Staff. By the end of the week we had all enjoyed ourselves a lot and hoped that we could do something like this again but perhaps on a R.A.F base where we would feel more on our own ground. Overall it was a great experience and won’t be forgotten soon.
