1924 (Shirley) Squadron Air Training Corps

On the 19 of December 2009 most of the cadets and staff from 1924 Squadron and honoury guests joined together to celebrate achievements over the past year. When we arrived we were made to wait in the corridor until everyone had arrived, we then ate dinner (fish and chips), after we had eaten dinner there speeches from various people including the two Flight Commanders, the Cadet Warrant Officer, Pilot Officer O'Neal and the Committee Chairman. After the speeches lots of awards were given out.  On the night I was fortunate enough to win an award myself for Best New Recruit for 2009.  After the awards we vacated the hall whilst the NCO's set up the hall for sods opera, A flight went first followed by B flight then the NCO show took place which was very good. At the end of the evening we had the final parade of 2009 and then we were dismissed until 2010.
