Bronze D of E 6-7 June

Bronze D of E 6-7 JuneDuring the weekend of the 6-7th June a team of 15 cadets from 1924 Sqn set off on their Bronze D of E. The walk lasts for 15 miles and takes 2 days to complete. As we were split down into two teams on the Saturday we would have to grow used to one another in order to work well as a team. The first days walking would take us from Keston through almost 8 miles to a scout camp where we set up our tents. Fortunately we had a lot of time on our hands and so we were able to start what at first was a small fire but eventually grew until it became a team effort itself! That night in order to pass the time we all started telling stories but best of all was Gray’s about the bird seed. At the end of the last day we were all very tired but at the same time very glad to have earned our Bronze D of E’s. Well done to the following for having been awarded their Bronze D of E’s: Cpl Brown, Cpl Kateley, Cpl Carr, Cdt Beaton, Cdt Gray, Cdt Lockwood, Cdt Bishop, Cdt Gatwood, Cdt Roye, Cdt White, Cdt Savva, Cdt Davis, Cdt Seruwo, Cdt Nampuma and Cdt Ross F.
